Branches collects no data, sends none and shares none.

The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no crash reporting and no third-party SDKs of any kind. It has no networking code of its own. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to.

Information stored on your device

What you write is stored only on your device, in the app’s private storage. So are an unfinished draft, the reminder setting and where you last left the view of the tree. None of it is ever transmitted, and none of it is visible to the developer or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored.

If you export your entries with “Keep a copy”, Branches hands a plain-text file to the system share sheet. Where it goes from there is up to you.

Reminders

The evening reminder is off unless you turn it on. When it is on, iOS schedules it on your device. No server is involved.

Tips

Branches is free. If you choose to leave a tip, Apple makes and processes the purchase through the App Store. Branches asks the App Store for the tip prices only when you tap “Leave a tip”, keeps no record of the purchase, and never sees your payment details. The developer receives only Apple’s aggregate sales reports.

Children

Branches is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
